Inside Our Triple Refining Process: From Raw Crystal to 99.28% Purity

"Triple refined" is a phrase that shows up on a lot of packaging. On ours, it describes six specific steps that happen the same way on every batch. It isn't marketing shorthand for "processed."

Step one: sourcing from our own fields

Raw salt is sourced from our own fields on India's marine salt belt in Gandhidham, Gujarat, near Kandla and Mundra ports. Owning the source is what lets us control quality from the very first stage, rather than inheriting whatever variability a third party supplier hands us.

Washing, crushing, and refining

Raw crystals are washed to remove impurities and crushed to a uniform size before refining begins. From there, fully automated machinery based on Swiss technology refines the salt into Triple Refined Free Flow Iodised Salt, reaching 99.28% NaCl purity.

Iodisation, tested not assumed

Iodine is added and mixed to a controlled 35 ppm content, monitored continuously so every batch stays within range. Before packaging, every batch passes through our in house QC lab, where qualified staff run more than 12 tests.

Packaging and dispatch

Once cleared, the salt is sealed and dispatched to distributors, retailers and export markets around the world. It's the same six step process whether it's headed to a shop three hours from our plants or a container ship at Mundra.

Why the process matters more than the marketing

Anyone can print "triple refined" on a bag. What actually backs that claim is a repeatable process, audited machinery, and a QC lab that tests every batch before it leaves. That's exactly what our ISO 9001:2015 and FSSC 22000 certifications verify.
