Quality & Certificates

Every batch of Ankur Salt is tested and verified before it leaves our plants. Here's exactly how we refine it, and what each of our certifications actually means.

Manufacturing Process

From raw salt to your table: six steps, the same way every time.

1

Sourcing

Raw salt is sourced from our own fields on India's marine salt belt in Gandhidham, Gujarat, near Kandla and Mundra ports.

2

Washing & Crushing

Raw crystals are picked clean of foreign particles, washed with magnetic separation to remove metal fragments, and centrifuged to separate pure brine before crushing brings every crystal to a uniform size.

3

Refining

Fully automated machinery based on Swiss technology refines the salt, drying it in a fluidised bed drier at a controlled 170°C to 260°C to reach purity greater than 98% NaCl.

4

Iodisation

Iodine is added and mixed to a controlled 20 ppm to 30 ppm content, monitored continuously so every batch stays within range.

5

Quality Testing

Before packaging, salt passes through a final screening stage where an 8mm screen and magnetic separator catch any oversized or metallic particles, then our in house QC lab runs more than 12 additional tests on every batch.

6

Packaging & Dispatch

Once cleared, the salt is sealed, stacked and loaded for dispatch to distributors, retailers and export markets around the world.
